Overview

Swing Navigator is built around a ZigZag swing engine, and that comes with a trade-off you should understand before you buy: ZigZag legs are confirmed retrospectively. The most recent leg on your chart can and will be redrawn when price moves far enough in the other direction.

What that buys you is the cleanest possible read on swing structure, which is exactly what you want when planning a multi-day position. Each confirmed swing produces an entry zone at the retracement, a stop beyond the swing extreme, and a take-profit ladder at three extension levels, all drawn with the risk-to-reward printed on each step.

The statistics panel summarises the visible range: average swing size, average duration, and the current swing measured against both. It is descriptive of what is on screen and makes no claim about what comes next.

How it works

  1. 01

    Detect the swing

A ZigZag engine identifies swing legs once a reversal threshold is met.

  2. 02

    Draw the plan

Entry zone, stop and a three-step target ladder are attached to the confirmed swing.

  3. 03

    Summarise the range

Average swing size and duration put the current swing in context.

Signal behaviour

Every TradingVAI product states plainly how it behaves as new bars arrive. This one is classified as repainting.

How this tool behaves on the chart

Repaints

Historical markers are placed using bars that came after them, so the chart history looks cleaner than what you would have seen live. Use this tool for context, not as a record of past calls.

This tool repaints, and that is inherent to how ZigZag swing detection works. The most recent swing leg is provisional: it is redrawn when price reverses far enough to establish a new pivot, which means historical swings look cleaner than they appeared live. Entry zones, stops and targets attached to a provisional leg move with it. Use this for planning structure and levels, not as a record of calls it would have made in real time. If you need markers that never move, Momentum Fusion and Trend Matrix are non-repainting alternatives.

Questions

Why sell a repainting tool at all?

Because swing structure genuinely is retrospective, and pretending otherwise would be worse. A clean swing read is useful for planning even though it is not a record of live calls. What matters is that you know which it is, which is why the behaviour is stated on the card, the product page and in this FAQ rather than buried.

How far back does the repainting go?

Only the most recent leg is provisional. Once a new pivot is confirmed, the leg before it is fixed and will not be redrawn.

Can I make it less sensitive?

Yes. The reversal threshold controls how large a move must be to establish a new pivot. A larger threshold gives fewer, larger swings that settle sooner; a smaller one tracks minor structure and revises more often.
